Alastair Gibson and Carbon Art 45 were commissioned by The National Spitfire Project to make a collection of carbon fibre Supermarine Spitfire MKV sculptures to help raise the funds needed to build a national monument commemorating the iconic British aircraft- The Spitfire.

For each sculpture sold, £1000 will be donated to The National Spitfire Project. The U.K Government have pledged to match fund this amount- making the total donation from each purchase an impressive £2000!

With each purchase you will receive a bespoke gift box containing;

-A carbon fibre Supermarine Spitfire MKV Sculpture

-A 3D printed Supermarine Spitfire MKV briefing stick model

-A Sculpture Spec Sheet

You will also have the option to add your very own signature onto the mast of the Spitfire monument which will be erected in Southampton- the birthplace of the aircraft.

 We encourage you to share your story with us on what this iconic aircraft means to you or your loved ones- to be published in a commemorative book by Carbon Art 45.

We are extremely honoured to be a part of this great cause and would like to thank anyone who has already or will be purchasing one of our Speedform Supermarine Spitfire sculptures- together we can help “create a worthy monument to the men and women who designed, built, flew and maintained the Supermarine Spitfire.” - National Spitfire Project

"The National Spitfire Project is behind the drive to build a new, national monument commemorating an iconic aircraft. With a silhouette that inspired hope and a sound that prompted awe, the Supermarine Spitfire embodied engineering excellence, innovation, and the collaborative efforts of men and women from over 30 Allied nations.

As well as commemorating the heroic efforts of all those involved, the National Spitfire Monument will educate and inform, attract tourism, and become a key focal point for local regeneration."

"The Spitfire is an enduring symbol of innovation, engineering excellence, hope and courage.

In the same way the original Spitfire Fund raised money to help production of the aircraft itself, the National Spitfire Project is raising money to create a worthy monument to the men and women who designed, built, flew and maintained the Supermarine Spitfire.

Honouring the past, inspiring our future."
