The j hammer is half the size of the original engineered hammer sculpture.
All juvenile Hammerhead sharks are exact smaller versions of their parents.
Laminated in nine moulds.
Carbon fibre, aluminium, ABS, inconel, titanium and selected F1 Grand Prix parts.
Limited to 16 pieces.
Body: Hand carved wooden ‘initial’ patterns scanned and CAD surfaced. The final patterns are scaled up and then five axis machined from TB 650 tooling material. The mould is made from a total of 9 plies / layers of tooling material, 1 ply 200 gsm, 8 ply 600 gsm, making it 7mm thick. The body is made from 1 ply / layer of 2 x 2 twill 200 gsm and 1 ply / layers of 2 x 2 twill 400 gsm giving a total thickness of 1.2mm.
Fins: CAD designed 1 mm water jet cut HE30 coated aluminium. Fixing detail for pectoral, dorsal and vent fins are ATL fuel cell M4 retaining bobbins from the Sahara Force India F1 Team 2013 F1 GP car.
Body top side detailing: Turning veins and exhaust shroud CAD designed 3D printed ABS with coating.
Nostrils: – 2 titanium hydraulic fitting.
Teeth: CAD designed 0.25 mm photo etched stainless steel.
Eyes: Machined lazer etched HE30 aluminium.
Vent: – 2, 45° machined titanium hydraulic fitting.
Exhausts: Oil cooler aluminium, 90° swept fitting from the Sahara Force India F1 Team 2013 F1 GP car.
Tail: 1mm HE30 water jet cut aluminium with carbon fibre ‘muscle’ detail, made from 1 ply 2 x 2 twill 200 gsm, 1 ply 2 x 2 twill 400 gsm, giving a thickness of 1.2mm.
Mounting: Floor tray mounting stay from the Honda Racing F1 team, part number 1070-A01-0275/1 mounted on a section of FIA legality perma-glass underfloor plank from the Sahara Force India F1 team part no.13523 0051 01A, Nico Hulkenburg, Belgium GP 2015.
Mounting methods: Suspended with 1 mm stainless steel braided cable or floor mounted, see above.
